Functioning
The application consists:
the mobile part,
the order distribution module,
the management and reporting module.
The mobile part of the application is built in Windows Mobile technology. The application supports the work of sales representatives in the full scope of their work. It contains the following elements: customer management, visit planning, registration of visits with data such as the presence and prices of products or POS materials, loyalty program, taking orders together with registration of possible participation in promotions, reporting absences. The application contains an extensive diagnostic and reporting module. Data exchange with the server has been optimized in terms of the amount of data distributed. The synchronization process after initiation by the representative takes place completely automatically.
The order distribution module exchanges data with mobile devices immediately after synchronization. Orders are distributed as per indication via e-mails, faxes or via EDI files and FTP. The system has an administrator notification module in the event of a system failure.
The management and reporting module was built in ASP.NET technology. It allows managing of all the data present in the database, starting with defining own "profile" and ending with the correction of data entered by the representative. The reporting system, on the other hand, has modules related to the analysis of data introduced by sales representatives from almost every angle. These include: merchandising data analysis module (in KA stores), order analysis module, resale module or sales representative work analysis module.
Access to data is provided by two channels via independent link operators. Communication devices have total redundancy.
